We provide early case assessments and strategy planning, research and data collection tools, document production management and control, complex financial modeling, damage theory, settlement assistance, and financial expert opinions.
Mako Strategies differs from its competitors. We approach our project work from a practical and common-sense perspective that considers the business transactions that actually occur in the market, not through hypothetical theoretical models that are challenging to communicate to our project stakeholders and decision makers. Our products have been tested before federal, state, and tax courts; arbitration panels; and corporate boards of directors.
We are experienced in financial issues related to fiduciary breaches of duty, contract disputes, tax disputes, fraud and misrepresentation, intellectual property infringement, ownership disputes, tortuous interference, and transaction disputes. We develop our opinions using analytical tools that include data scanning, data mining, and data warehousing. We understand GAAP and DCAA accounting standards because we have operated within those standards. Many of our solutions are the result of custom accounting and data reconstruction strategies. We are extensively experienced in large-scale document management and analytical support for cases involving volumes (more than 1,000,000 pages) of manual and electronic documents. We have developed an economical online document system that serves as an effective tool for document control and analysis, a service we also provide to private and public entities in need of effective processes to manage and control critical source documents. We value quality and subject our financial expert opinion reports to external peer review.
